There were trucks all skidded out along the shoulder
And we couldn’t see anything out of any of the windows
We were on the TransCanada and there wen’t many lights other than the Moon which wasn’t all the bright

I’ve never believed much in heaven
But that night I was praying
Like I really meant it
The catholic in me was welcoming
I could almost hear God whispering
It sounded just like tires squealing

But we were going, and Brandon kept a steady hand on the wheel
All of a sudden it was 5 am and we weren’t far enough away from here
1pm rolled around quick and we were in another province
Still not so close tho,
Actually it’s all a big blur now
Brandon was still stearing
